Like many other fields of technology, brain research is increasingly driven by “big data,” requiring massive computing power to analyze and store the results.

The ever-growing demand for computing resources is an important bottleneck for many research projects. Now, thanks to the generous support of an anonymous donor, the McGovern Institute is establishing a
new computing cluster as a shared resource for the MIT neuroscience community, one that will greatly expand researchers’ access to high-performance computing.
