Feng Zhang has been named the winner of this year’s National Science Foundation (NSF) Alan T. Waterman Award. The award is NSF’s highest honor for outstanding researchers under the age of 35, across all areas of science and engineering.
The Waterman Award was presented to Zhang at a ceremony at the US Department of State in Washington, DC.
Zhang was also listed by Technology Review as a key player in the field of genome editing, one of the magazine’s 10 Breakthrough Technologies for 2014.
