Alzheimer’s disease is a progressive and irreversible brain disorder that begins with memory loss and eventually interferes with a person’s ability to perform daily tasks. It is the most common cause of dementia among older adults. McGovern researchers are using brain imaging technologies to study memory, and how it changes over the course of a lifetime.
